varn® spray powder
Flint Group's portfolio of Anti Set-Off Powders includes two series; Coated and Uncoated. Each series incorporates a variety of grades comprising the respected Varn and Russell-Web brands. Our Coated powders are micro-encapsulated with a slip agent which enhances the powder, increasing its hydrophobic properties. They repel water and are attracted to the ink’s surface, giving better ‘set-off’ protection and increased mileage.

Varn® Take It Off
Varntake it off is a superior paste form roller and blanket deglazer. It penetrates deep into the rubber surface to lift out the dried ink and dissolve glaze build-up. Take it off utilizes a unique, mild particulate to scrub away ink and glaze yet will not damage the surface of rollers and blankets.

varn® supreme fount
General purpose sheetfed fount for use with 5 to 12% IPA. Versatile and economical.
- Varn Supreme is a complete product that prints sharper and will give clean, quick start-ups with a definite reduction in ink consumption. Because less ink and water are run, ink comes off the press drier and denser colours are obtained.
- Varn Supreme is formulated for use with conventional and UV inks and also performs well with the latest low energy–high reactivity UV inks.
- Varn Supreme is a non-foaming, fully biodegradable alcohol reduction system. Partial alcohol reduction, or in some cases total elimination is possible on presses equipped with less difficult dampening systems.
Varn® compound 747
Reduces tack, improves ink lay on all types of stock and prevents sheets from sticking to blankets.
- Varn Compound 747 is an ink additive formulated to prevent ‘ink set-off’ and keep reverses and half-tones open and clean. It permits large solids and denser colours to be run and backed up immediately, saving timeand space.
- VarnCompound 747 reduces tack, improves ink lay on all types of stock and prevents sheets from sticking to blankets. It mixes easily with ink, making it more workable and reducing the volume of ink required
- Varn Compound 747 reduces picking and ink crystallisation and is ideal for multi-colour work.
Varn® calcium deglazer
Liquid deglazer for removing calcium only from rollers. Must be rinsed off with water.
- Varn Calcium Deglazer is formulated to meet the ever-increasing problem of calcium build-up on rollers and blankets. Calcium build-up in the past has been attributed to ink pigments and water conditions, but due to the increasing amounts of fillers being used in coated substrates, the problem has increased dramatically.
- Varn Calcium Deglazer is dynamically effective in the removal of glaze from contaminated rollers and blankets, returning the rollers and blankets to their original condition.
